On the 15th of March at approximately 12:30pm I went to the New World in Victoria Park in Auckland. I went to park into a disabled car park as I recently tore my patella tendon for which I have a parking permit for. A sign written van from Mahitahi drove into the empty disabled park next to me (after driving through a no entrance, exit only path) and did not display a parking permit. The passenger got out of the van to shop while the driver stayed (so they could move if caught). This behaviour is rude and inconsiderate of those with actual disabilities who are in need of those parks. Doing this in a sign written vehicle is a reflection on the company those men represent. As a proud Mori man, I was disheartened to find that the company they work for promotes a Commitment to helping individuals and whanau to achieve wellness through Tikanga Mori practices when this is clearly not the case. I am also disappointed that this in some ways reflects negatively on Mori in general when a company promotes tikanga Mori this way but do not set an example to the community of living by these values. I hope in future that other disabled people are not adversely affected by the laziness and complete disregard for disabled peoples needs shown by your employees. Update: I submitted this complaint via their website. It was ignored.

Very professional offering holistic mental health support. They walk their talk and follow thru. They work as per their kuapapa. Much respect.
