Have loved this park for the last 25 years and unlike many places its aged very well and is so well cared for. Most recent trip was sharing the amazing park with my little person who had a great time on the walk. Lots of stairs so if you are mobility impaired its probably not the walk for you but trees are well signposted which we enjoyed.

It's a short but excellent walking path. As usual, it's a pest-free walk path to prevent kauri dieback infection. At the beginning of the path, you can see two of the most aged kauri tree (800 years old and 600 years old), along with the path, keeping quiet, and you can hear various birds singing around you. Try to take a deep breath; it is a tiny, well-maintained walk path.

What a great place. An interesting small museum and paths to wander through the Kauri trees, there are lots, so tall and straight. Bird song all day. Large parking area.
