Collins Ryan - L'artiste, Professional Photographer and Global Brand Ambassador for the renowned Tokina company

I recently went on a beginner's Astro- photography course with Collins Ryn. It was tailored to those of us with kit sets and the small group made for a very intimate learning experience, plenty of practice and explanations of why shots were working or not working. Having Ryan as our teacher has done wonders for my confidence in my own ability to actually capture a great astro shot and the follow up editing evening opened my eyes to the techniques available to further enhance the wonder of the universe. The level of support offered onsite and as follow-up has been amazing. Ryn is very supportive yet professionally critical and strives to make you achieve really great photos. Ryn adds an artistic element, so his advice is not just technical but also about composition. We had a detailed technical briefing which was hard as an absolute beginner in astro and an amateur but made sense throughout the evening as we were changing settings to cope with the changing skies. I learnt a lot and am very excited to go and take more shots. Collins Ryan has given me a very solid foundation in this sphere and I would not hesitate to go on another course to further develop. I have definitely come out a better photographer all round.

We've engaged with Collins Ryan to take professional images of my partner's artwork (paintings) in his private studio. Ryan was meticulous with his work - ensuring that we understood every aspect and challenge of the work to convert the paintings into printable, high-res images, for us to use for reproduction prints. He took the time to explain the process to newbies like us, with endless patience and professionalism. The results were amazing and Ryan managed to capture the essence of the paintings despite some challenging aspects such as reflectiveness of the paint and multiple depth planes. I highly recommend Collins Ryan for studio work and professional photography!

Collins Ryan, my colleague in Kenko-Tokina Photo ambassadors cummunity is among those people with great soul, when mixed with such brilliant artistic abilities leads to a pure artist. At this moment, we are friends for the past five years, but from the first glance I feel I known him as a lifelong friend! I am a passionate Astro-photographer for the past two and half decades, so know the people and works very well in this field, and it was very interesting for me on Collins night art works, which present a unique perspective toward recreation of night creatures. I enjoyed a lot working with Collins and am very happy to have such a great friend, in the farthest civilized location from me on the Earth, but very close in hearts and perspectives.

I recently did a beginners photography workshop tutored by Collins Ryn. He could see my dedication and will to learn...One of his sevrel teachings was the exposure Triangle..where i learnt About Aperture Shutterspeed & ISO i feel better to have learnt from Collins Ryn who is a professional photographer rather than someone who im not familiar with .. I enjoy photography no matter what...And am taking notes for myself On what i have learnt so far. Thank you very much for this experience.
