Seems the biggest hazard at Muriwai Beach might be getting run over by a Sea-Doo being operated by a wreckless lifeguard. He was regularly riding quickly between the shore and swimmers. The lifeguards also seem to think that herding all swimmers into a small area is safe. 20+ years of experience says that's a poor safety strategy. Swim here at your own risk .
