Tanners Point Rec Reserve

Unable to get into designated caravan park as all parks taken by cars. So had to park in a car park. Boat ramp very busy in the weekend both day and night in summer + autum. Otherwise a nice spot. Important: Suitable for small vans only.

Tanners Point is one of the hidden gems of the upper Tauranga harbour. Enjoy a picnic, bush walks, fishing off the jetty, paddle boarding, and there's an all tide boat ramp for easy launching. The bird life is amazing too, the locals have been running a pest free program here for many years now so there are a number of native birds to be found and heard!

Beautiful scenery and an ideal place for our overnight stay in the camper. Enjoyed relaxing and watching the sun set, lovely walk along the waters edge in the morning, very peaceful.
