Appalling treatment and support. Treatment (or lack of resulted in the death of my son). Terrible care by the doctors and the whole system/institution.

One of the most disappointing services we had from this hospital waited for longer 5 hours and only triage nurse had checked my son and no doctors where there to check him, he was having a breathing issue still no one was interested in looking him. All doctors inside can seen talking and having a chats around. It is very important to have a chat around but i think patients are the priority. I hope the service gets improved by ministry of health and bay of plenty district health board need to address this sort of issues to govt to provide more staff and support

If you have asthma and cant breathe I would never recommend my worst enemy to go here. Going round in circles being told multiple things by different staff to then be told you have to wait for everyone else to get seen!!!!! while your partner cannot breathe at all all while being told do not take your mask off (while they are literally barely being able to breathe) triage nurse was rude the other nurses rated the pain as a 3 without even asking us when it was a 9 then got told the inhaler can be used as much as you want when its only 3x a day and had been exceeded by double that. Have seen better service at middlemore in Auckland and they are more busy. Never coming back.!!!!
