Peaceful atmosphere. I was a visitor this time, and the reception was very helpful and happy to chat and show me where I needed to be.

I had hand surgery during covid. The surgery on the hand was ok although I still get stretchy pains 2 years after and haven't got much torsional strength with the hand and tension that was pulled down in the operation. The original nurse straight after surgery was wrenching on my arm to remove the sling which hurt. I had to shower myself in the morning with a drip in one hand and a hand reconstruction plaster in the other and dress myself the nurses were all too busy to help or didn't want to. I had three plasters during two weeks that were put on too tight afterwards and one time I was in a power of pain when the nurse forced my hand down on the table for the last plaster. I had to wait 24 hours each time before they changed it. The tight plasters caused a noticeable amount of excess lymphatic fluid under my armpit which I still have till this day. The surgeon just can't understand why or doesn't want to. I have tried lymphatic massage but it won't go away. Grace Hospital make you sign away your rights before any surgery. All and all a pretty average outcome which I am not happy with.

Ok hospital, as expected clean tidy. Had a lot of shedculing issues with my surgey as they said I could have someone's slot beacuse they weren't vaccinated, and then changed their mind, eventually we got it sorted though. They didn't give me dinner after my surgey which was disappointing, and I was left alone most the night, could have done with more regular nurse checks, as I couldn't sleep after my surgery and having someone to talk to or being offered sleep meds would have made the night a lot better. The sunrise veiw outside the window was amazing though.
