On 4/28/2022, the work began with the company to pick the kiwi fruit, and the day ended very calmly, and the next day we went to the same site and started work at 9 am. At 12 oclock we wanted to stop to take a break with the approval of the responsible person, and we headed to the resting place, so one of the managers in the farm came and said We want you to continue working until this section is finished. Indeed, we went back to work, but at 1:30 pm the workers felt tired and we took permission from the responsible person to agree and while we were heading to the resting place the same manager came back and started uttering inappropriate words and said if you stop to rest You were fired from work, and after contacting the main department responsible for the work, the top manager came to the work site. Unfortunately, his decision was the same as the managers decision on the farm. We had to leave the site and go home disappointed, because we know, according to New Zealand laws, that the worker enjoys a break every two hours of continuous work.
