Did a last minute booking in March 2023. I was really surprised how lovely the rooms were, modern updated comfortable beds, decor and furniture. And affordable. Loved hearing the sound of the river. Only downfall which wasn't the motels fault was other guests having a party and too loud till after 2am. Which was a disappointment, however to be expected sometimes. I will definitely recommend staying here. Thanks Tarawera
