Do not ride this train or let your children ride unless you have protective flame retardant clothing and goggles. I had a frightening ride a few weeks ago where there were small burning coal pieces flying towards me. Several others say they also had the same. Small burns on the skin and holes in a new linen dress. There was no advice of warning but apparently there is a sign at the front desk. Very poor communication of this risk but they were prepared with Aloe Vera cream for any burns and a hose to stop flames from spreading on the grass! At least THEY were prepared!

An absolutely fantastic place to visit. The staff were very nice and friendly and the train rides were fairly priced and well worth it for the experience. A place to visit for sure when you're up in Rotorua. 10/10 for sure. :)

This place got lot of potential but, unfortunately its is not utilized properly. Adequate sign boards on the road side, a small caf inside can bring more tourists in.
