Epiphany Cafe Rotorua

Not that impressed. My partner wanted me to pickup a box of donuts for her workplace morning tea. Since I was super busy that morning I decided to preorder and pay online for collection at 8:40am. When I arrived the doors were closed (they're supposed to open at 8:30am). I knocked on the door the lady came over and asked how she can help. I told her I had an order for coffee and donuts. She said it wasn't ready and can I give her another ten minutes. I said "I'm going to be late for work, I start at 9am and that's why I ordered for 8:40am pickup". She goes over and then tells me they can't do coffee so gives me a refund. So I'm sitting there waiting for the donuts and at 8:55 she says "Sir can I help with anything else?". I say "The donuts?!". Then she says she didn't see the order until now and STARTS making them up at almost 9am. She gave me 2 free ones as an apology, but not good enough really. I ordered for 8:40am so I wouldn't be late for work. She didn't even have the shop open then and I was late for work. Poor service. Donuts were fine. ..

Its a donut shop , nothing else ! So 3 stars for the donuts only. Unfortunately your customer service and coffee was a big let down.

We only went in for coffee but kind of regret not getting a donut now because they looked so good. Coffee was yummy, will definitely stop by again when Im in the area. Edit: Popped in today to try the donuts, got a raspberry and custard one. Theres no filling its just the blob on top that you get. The custard was fine but it was a slightly unpleasant tasting raspberry sauce on top - kind of like cheap sauce for ice cream? Would recommend a coffee but not suggest buying the donuts

We loved the atmosphere. Friendly staff; awesome background music. Great coffee; the most incredible lychee smoothie; and delicious date & orange scones.
