New Zealand Discovery Tours

Terrible experience. We had a Waitomo Caves and Hobbiton tour booked directly through them. We tried to confirm 24-48 hours beforehand. No response. They email us 11:30 pm the night before the cruise was supposed to dock cancelling the tour. No explanation. We emailed them back saying we were very upset and again no response. This was on our honeymoon. It really screwed up our plans. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY.

This company appears to be out of business. No website, no working telephone number. Our Hobbiton tour was cancelled without reason late the night prior, after we had paid in full a month earlier.

The Hobbiton tour is the main reason that we flew across the world for our honeymoon. Called to confirm reservation multiple times with no response. Waited outside hotel for 30 minutes and then walked around town for an hour to find that the office did not exist. Please contact us.

Our family of 13 booked a Hobbiton and geyser tour two months ago for our cruise port stop scheduled for today. We did not receive any cancellation email from NZ discovery tours and only found out that the tour was not going ahead when no one turned up at the port to pick us up! Extremely bad communication from the provider :( Only consolation was that we had a lovely tour guide (Terry) from Custom Day tours who were able to take us to see the local Geyser- unfortunately all the Hobbiton places were booked out.
