Extremely poor service. If a support worker is unavailable to attend they don't have staff to fill in. Coordinators/control centre have no clue what the word HIGH NEEDS mean. They are unable to read because Clearly on the client's file it say no males. Then they still want to send a male worker. You the client have to adapt to their healthcarenz schedule they can't fit into yours.. because healthcarenz can't send a support worker we have to cancel appointments including doctors appointments. Dad goes to dialysis every Tues & the Caregiver calls in sick on this day. Coordinators advised multiple times to roster someone reliable but no change. How can someone be sick every Tues? Parents have been in care since 2018!! Why have they not got reliable and stable Caregivers? When a replacement is found, they are sent to care for my dad after he has been picked up by the Health Shuttle at 7.30am! I've found mould growing in their bread bin & Caregivers are there 3x a day but no-one had cleaned this. Leftovers in the fridge gone off and vegetables rotting in uncovered Tupperware etc Kitchen sink & counter left with food particles dirty boards & knives. The compost bin filled to the brim with fruit & veggie peels with files and a stench left on the kitchen counter. Once emptied I noted that there was mould growing in it as not washed after use. Cleaning caddy has all that's needed to keep the home environment clean but the caddy itself is left in a mess with used spray bottles, dust, detergent spills etc. Hygiene is at zilt! Shower area is growing black mould. I've gone in many times to spray this area, the non-slip mat & the shower curtain. I've seen the new cleaner just wave the dust cloth over the coffee table about 3x! The place gets cleaned once a week! There was no sanitisers used. Staff do not know and practice hygiene and it seems that they don't receive much training. This is how our elderly are taken care of. There's insufficient staff, insufficient training, no professionalism, lack of understanding for the type of service that they offer and no-one seems to care!! But wait there's more.... the same Caregiver that didn't turn up this morning & I was told is sick turned up for the evening shift & when my dad asked her what had happened she relayed that she wasn't sick but was asked by the coordinators to work two other jobs this morning & that a replacement would be sent for dad. (Copy of text message held as not sure how to attach). Dad is a dialysis & stroke patient who gets picked up by the Health Shuttle at 7.30am twice a week for dialysis & has been home alone as mum's in hospital!!!
