I recently attended the funeral of a very close friend (Dec 22) it is at this point I met Dean Hughes (Funeral Director)/ Hope Funeral Services. Dean could not have been more helpful and compassionate. He quickly understood the dynamics of the situation, especially related to the nature/ age of my friends passing along with the very young family he had left. Dean gave good options and advice - he was keen to deliver what was right for the family, and I cannot thank him enough for the support he provided at a particular difficult time. Dean managed flawlessly to arrange every single wish, from the music requested, to one of the best celebrants I have ever seen he was ever so attentive. He treated the deceased with dignity which gave the family great comfort it actually felt like it was a friend helping us, rather than a business. Dean was professional, informative and imaginative. He made recommendations that made the day extremely personal and special and I even think he managed to speak to the man upstairs to control the weather on the day of the funeral. Dean was able to respectfully control the decision making timings (of which there were many to make), but was also able to handle change without getting flustered. Charlemagne lodge is a beautiful tranquil setting with ample space including parking and well-kept gardens. The room was set-up perfectly and the catering/ bar was excellent and to a very good quality. From a money point of view everything was very reasonable/ fairly priced. If you want a professional and caring service, set within the most beautiful surroundings, I would without hesitation highly recommend Hope Funeral Services/ Dean Fil M London, UK
