An update on below: I do not recommend this place. I gave them another shot and like before, my nails chipped almost immediately. Within a day, most of my manicure had at least a chip, some had totally peeled off. I went back within 48 hours and told them that I just wanted them removed and some sort of refund. The owner came and spoke to me and immediately got defensive. Told me "she's a lawyer" and knows that she doesn't have to give me a refund. She offered me a voucher but I didn't accept because I am never going back. After discussing with her that her service was completely not fit for purpose, I walked away with a partial refund and the gel removed. Have since found a wonderful new place. __ I came in for a Gel manicure and normal pedicure on the 7th of Jan. the place is very clean and tidy and everyone is friendly. They have a great range of colours too. They do not offer builder gel - when I asked why, they said it was because their clients prefer acrylics, even though they are two totally different products? It's like saying they don't offer purple nail polish because their clients prefer pink? Seems very unusual and VERY behind the times. Unfortunately my nails did not last anywhere as long as I expected them to. Normally my gel mani lasts at least 2 weeks but a few fingers started to chip within the first week. I have been able to peel off all of them now. Normally a pedicure lasts around 3 weeks but the polish was also chipped within the week. Im hoping it was just an issue with the colour I chose (same for both) and Id be willing to try them again to see. Overall, good initial experience but not the longevity I expect.
