This area is a treasure..one of the oldest podacarp forests dating back to the time of dinosaurs. There are established bike tracks and walks to DOC huts for overnight stays or day walks. The area is popular for deer and pig hunting and has a large variety of native birds. This is a great place to come and enjoy nature. Highly recommended.
