Ohaaki Heat

The first afternoon my wood arrived it was freezing and as a mother of children who play winter sports i thought I'd light my fire before I went out to grab the kids. I used the small bits to start my fire added 2 bits of wood, I was gone for half an hour max but when I returned home my house was that warm I had to open some doors to cool it down, recent years we've just got our wood in the summer so it's dry come winter and we wouldn't get near that kind of heat unless we had the fire going half the day. Definitely recommend and you don't use as much wood as you would if it was weather dried.

I have been following the competition..... but decided hey lets just try this stuff and see what its all about. Spoke to Debbie at the office who went through how to purchase either at their site or from a couple of places in town (Taupo) - 4 square next to Gull station. Decided I would try a bag before purchasing a larger amount. Holy is about all I can say! Debbie expressed to me to make sure I only use 2 pieces - I thought mmm ok. Put one piece on then the second - my cats that pretty much live in front of the fire when its on, didn't hang around that long, one moved right away and the other decided the hall was better. My partner walked in and asked how much wood had been burning, and "aren't you hot''? Hot! I thought I was going to pass out. Rang Debbie back to order direct from them. We decided to go with bags this time but will be getting a load for next winter, just so impressed and with the size of our living room we are finding 1 decent piece is enough, especially if we are sitting in there. Also Debbie was amazing to deal with, explained everything really well to me in regards to what products they have available, opening hours and how it can also be delivered. Highly recommend Ohaaki Heat to exceptional firewood.

Great all-year-round dry firewood. Burns like a dream. We made our order of 6m3 in the morning and it came that afternoon.

I first discovered Ohaaki heat firewood at the local 4 Square. It was so good that we got a whole load. The driver reversed down driveway and wiggled over to put it on the lawn which left us access. This is our second year of ordering 3 cu/m. Perfect size for our Metro wood burner. It pokes out great heat and lasts. Love it.
