I had my upper and lower eye line tattooed by Juliette. The upper lid was fine but... The lower eye line was not good at all. Juliette unfortunately, by mistake, took the wrong line with the tattoo, which ended up partially into the water line region of the lower lids, more into the left eye than the right. Acknowledged within the industry - the WATER LINE should NEVER be done. I lost confidence in this business and ended up at another permanent tattoo establishment in Rotorua. Yet again a bad experience in a different way. Long story short...within the first 48 hours it is possible to remove the tattoo (except not in the water line unfortunately) using a saline method. There are business' who specialise in this. When you really look into permanent makeup you do set yourself up potentially for permanent mistakes. My research has led me to believe it is a big number of mistakes which is under reported. It is not some thing I would recommend. I seriously encourage you to look up mistakes done with lips and brows on line. It will scare the sh... out of you. Maybe Juliette just had a bad day as she seemed experienced and very nice person, but I suffered the consequences of her mistake and this is something you can't easily come back from. Tip, never let a technician tattoo over the EYE LINE or EYEBROW or LIP with a natural tattoo ink to fix the mistake, as this will turn black (not a good look on lips) if you need laser treatment, or potentially the colour of the original tattoo mistake could show through. No companies I search do laser for eye line tattoo removal in NZ, as it is too specialised. I am not an expert, but this is my opinion and my experience. The more business' I spoke to, the more I realised that there is a vast number of people who regret their decision to have permanent makeup and go to extensive and expensive lengths to remove it. Fashions change... so watch out for those ombre eye brows they will go out of favour eventually. They look beautiful on ethnicities which are meant to have them naturally but they are not for every one. I liken this period of fashion for your face, to the horrible fashion disaster of the low waisted jeans and shorts...and the famous muffin; and most? maybe not all would agree, the fashion disaster of the century. I am a positive person so I like to think Juliette will learn from this mistake and never do it again? Her instructions for after care and before care were very good, her hygiene exceptional, her friendly manner was lovely... and she does seem to be experienced. Juliette if you only knew how much trouble and expense this caused me. You never once followed up to see what kind of result I ended up with. You refunded my money, and it feels to me like you were clearing any responsibility of actions, even though there was a flow on effect from your mistake. In USA, you would have been sued. I don't dwell on this, or hold a grudge (as a bit of time has passed), but I do hope you have learned from this experience.
