        No regrets choosing Kaituna Cascades for our first whitewater rafting experience. A highly recommended activity when visiting New Zealand. Pete and Blue organised the tour perfectly, and Blue is an excellent teacher. The phrases Party, party, party, forward paddle, backward paddle and hold on will be lodged in my mind for a very very long time We had originally planned to ride the Kaituna River but had to switch to the Rangitaiki River as the original river was flooded :( A less exciting option (less drops) but better than no experience at all. Blue gave a clear and simple education before we began, and got us to practise when on the river. He has 25 years of experience so its no surprise that he could instruct us well enough to manoeuvre the raft around obstacles. We felt really safe with him.

        Had an amazing time on the rapids, definitely worth doing in sunshine or rain! Our guide Hayley made sure everyone got the most out of the trip, she was great.
