Flatwhite Waihi Beach

We ate at Flat White tonight and partook in their $45 winter warmer set menu. What a lovely meal. The creamy broccoli & bacon soup was to die for. The main of lamb shank, mash & vegetables was very generous and delicious. Dessert was a mini pavalova with mascarpone & berries. Superb. Couldnt recommend enough. We will be back.

Vegetarian options: Few choices. Parking: Sometimes crowded parking. But usually something available close by.

Me and my families went to this restaurant today because of the google description of beach front and the great view. But it was a failed choice for me today. We went in and I was told that the beach front table was closed, and a male waiter just said: i know you want but you can't. I thought its ok, may be the weather is bad. Then we were seated at a table and the menu was handed out to everyone, few mins later when we were ready to order , he just us the kitchen already closed. Are you kidding me right ? This is what we experienced today. The male waiter and the two female waiters looked terrible from the beginning to the end, like they had experienced the worst thing in their lives and then brought it to work. For you, it is failure to this job. For customer, your behaves is disrespectful to them. For manager, you are irresponsible to him. (As a manager. Oscar is good enough, and thanks for your apologize, I truly accept) Even if you are a community cafe, there will be many tourists coming to. You should not do this anymore. Shame on you, honestly.
