        Waihi Beach, like all beach's in NZ is a great place to visit. It is a good surf beach when the waves are up (they were to big on my recent visit for the Surf IRB National comp - it had to be cancelled part way through). At the west end of the beach is some nice walks, with views back down the beach - very similar to the West end of Ohope beach. Go can have a nice long walk along the beach with it's length. I summer it can be hard for a park near the surf club, as it is popular, but well worth it. Off season it can be nice just to have a stretch of the beach to yourself.

        Sister and I visited our brother, an ice cream, admired the scenery and checked out the surf (no, not for me but our brother likes surfing). Nice place
