Celebrated New Years day mass here with a small local and Tauranga congregation. I loved the ambience of the place. Apparently, it's been 121yrs since it's establishment and the altar is made from the wood off a chair that St John Paul 11 used on his visit to NZ. I was told that there's a pamphlet in the church with details, which I didn't get. Next time. I used Google Maps to get there with no problem.

It is a very beautiful unique church, serene and peaceful. A great place to spend time with God in prayer and / or in silence.
