We are couples from Taiwan Come to Akaroa for vacation and enjoy the environment and decoration of the farm very much. The farm owner couple and the lovely dog are very hospitable and friendly. It's about a 10-minute drive from Akaroa. The night is quiet and comfortable. It's a great experience. I will definitely visit the couple again. (Original) It was a wonderful night.         This was certainly the best b/b that I have experienced over many years years. The breakfasts were a delight as were the hosts. A beautiful house and mature gardens and the working sheepdogs were just what we wanted. My previous entry ( some 6 days ago) stating 1* satisfaction was incorrect and should have been 5* Jonathan Hanley

        We stayed in the Shepherds Hut for one night and I can honestly say it's one of the BEST eco-stay experiences we've had in NZ. The balance of rustic yet romantic is spot on. So many thoughtful touches like the soap bars, fresh fruit and produce and robes really add to the experience. The outdoor bath just tops it off! Our only regret is not staying for longer, we will 100% be back to stay!!
