        There's classic B&B and also a self contained apartment in a separate building with a separate entrance. This is where we stayed for two days. Ideal location in walking distance to town, wharf, beach, etc. but still quiet. Apartment is spacious, well designed and well equipped - even with washing facilities and a BBQ. Can not imagine a better place to stay in Akaroa. Check in advance for cruise ship days. We were lucky but if I imagine what thousands of extra people could do to this lovely town - can only be a nightmare.
