        We found Rona's Cafe to be a nice Oasis from the southerly wind in Akaroa. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming especially when visiting this area in the off season. Kid-friendliness: A family arrived when we were having our brunch of toasted pretzel and hot coffee. The owner was so accommodating towards this family. It was very nice to see the level of service provided considering it was peak season for tourist.

        Unfortunately the kitchen seems to be closed for the time being - the menu looked great so this is a bit sad. But the coffee was delicious and the service was delightful, especially considering the whole cafe seemed to be staffed by just one very industrious woman!
