Good hike here. Was about 5 to 6 kilometres from the Purau Saddle carpark. Took about 1.5 hours to reach it. Had to be careful around cattle on the way as they could be unpredictable but didn't take any chances with them. Apparently the best views are at mount Bradley. Great hiking area.

I did this walk from Purau Saddle carpark which is a nice steady climb along the summits of the hills. It is 5.4 km and took 1.5 hrs to reach the top. I also continued to try and climb Mount Bradley but that was poorly signposted. This is a nice hill with some good views. You do need to walk to the edges of the top to get clear panoramic photos. I had to be careful of calfs on the the way up as I wasn't sure if they would charge or not. I walked far around them to be safe. All up I walked 18 kms in 5hrs doing both Mounts.

there are two options how to get there but if you start from the Port Saddle you will have only elevation about 400m and it takes about 1 and half hour to the top and about 15 minutes back :-) there are 2 Tops "little Mt Herbert" and "Mt Herbert" which is about 50m higher but doesn't have better view for sunrise and sunset. Also "little Mt Herbert" doesn't have any Radio antena so you have clear 360 view :-)

(Translated by Google) We walked a total of 15km and took 4.5 hours. I didnt expect the journey to be so long. Unfortunately, our water hose was not enough We wanted to give up, but we insisted on finishing the walk. Fortunately, the weather was good that day and the road was easy to walk. A lot of and then I accidentally stepped on it The scenery along the way is beautiful and you can see the new Brighton from here! Although it is tiring, it is really worth coming here Absolutely raving about the view! (Original) 154.5 new Brighton!
