my fridge/freezer malfunctioned (freezer compartment). i was assured the technician was highly trained; but (since i live outside ashburton) i had to prepay $ 149.00. that would include the initial visit and a second one to replace parts (latter obviously at my expense). i did. technician arrived, checked the fridge/freezer and told me, after 5 minutes) it had it and should be replaced (5 years old appliance!). said to me to leave it "on" so i could get a few more weeks out of the fridge part. after a day or three i noticed the freezer was working (!!). so i contacted the importer - very helpful and the suggestion was a malfunction of the auto-defrost switch. to date, no reply from this company at all - except an invoice and a note it was subject to a complaint. have not heard back from the company at all since. my recommendation? never deal with this bunch ever! technician was exceptionally bad mannered, and "complaints" are, obviously, not at all important. >>> update the matter has now been settled to mutual satisfaction, after posting my review.
