Staff were friendly and very helpful and cake was just perfect on the day.

Orange and almond cake was dry and had far too much icing (too sweet!), presumably because it had been over-baked and sunk in the middle. Wouldnt have minded buying this for a discount (dont like food wastage), but for almost $40 I expect the cake be moist and well balanced. UPDATE: Company responded (see below) and I am reassured that Divine do prioritise upholding quality standards. Amended from 1 star to 3 stars.

If you purchase a cake that has 20 percent off staff need to ensure that the discount is taken off. On thursday at 5.20pm I purchased a cake with the 20 percent sign so bought it. Wasnt till I got home I realised staff didnt bother with the discount. I asked on the day if this cake was made fresh that day. Reply was yes. Today as I was passing I asked another staff about the discount and cake freshness. I was told that cakes on some days get 20 percent off if they have been sitting there for a day or two. Not impressed and will be going back to the tried and true delicious cheese cake shop where the service is amazing and prices are true but not this place again. Staff seem disinterested in being there and couldnt give a stuff about customers.

After paying for my daughters birthday cake earlier that day, my partner ran in to collect the cake and was met with a 'be back in 10 mins' sign. No mention of what time that was put up. Thinking they may have taken a portable phone with them, we called but no answer... Just ringing in the back. When the staff member did arrive, there was no apology, no acknowledgement of having to wait, she made eye contact, went into the back to put her phone down and then said 'how may I help?' Think a little retraining on customer service may be in need here. Have given 2 stars as the cakes are not in question, they are delicious as always, but service is a huge part of a business and they failed in this instance
