New Brighton Medical Centre

JULIE the receptionist is the RUDEST receptionist I have ever met! Absolutely NO manners at all to start with! She didnt care about my health, let alone her job at all. Please hire people who actually want to help customers, NOT make them feel less than human. Going the doctors is already a stressful enough experience for customers as it is. All I did was return a missed call from the health centre and she didnt even want to look up my profile to see what the missed call was about, then when I politely asked her to check again she reluctantly did it, saying "theres sooo many people that work here, I have no idea why anyone called you". Really disappointed, Ive had so many bad experiences here, this is one of the worst medical centres in Christchurch, and it really shows.

Medical Centre that still actively medically discriminates against patients. Rude receptionist. Disinterested doctor. Would self amputate before getting NBHC to stitch me up.

Been going for what seems decades and the staff here have always been top notch and very understanding.

Partner in agony and can't even get through on the phone to talk with a nurse. Will be following up with a compliant to the Medical council and Health and Disability commissioner.

I just recently found out that I'm pregnant and have been having a bit of bleeding that has made me really worried of why that is happening. The reception has told me that my doctor isn't available this week and that a nurse will ring me. When the nurse rung all she had to say was that the only option is to go to the 24 hours as it's free charge. I have been at this doctors since i was a kid and I have never been disappointed in these nurses and the they're lack of effort. I say if u show no care and interest towards your clients, dont work there at all.
