        We did this track based on the reviews but the 4,7 is really overrated. The path is slippery and not pleasant to walk. The waterfall is overgrown by trees. The big tree is a better alternative in this area.

        Very nice hike. You can either start at the parking or near the campground. Eitherway it's up! From the campground it's a slightly shorter and easier walk. So you can do a loop or go there and back same way. Very nice area and vegetation during the hike. Also not many people in contrast to some other parts of NZ. We loved it. This hike it also short but more difficult then the big tree wall and sometimes slippery

        A challenging ascent requiring reasonable level of fitness. We enjoyed the achievement. The falls are high but not dramatic. A very good round trip.
