Canterbury SCL - Northfield

Turned up for a test at 4.30pm. Indian male called out to me in front of everyone in the waiting area asking if I have an appointment. I said no my Dr has sent me in as I am not well. He said oh well we are only open another 7 minutes if you want to take a chance. He was extremely defensive and rude. I said I will stay. He then asked me again. He told me I had to book in, however there were no bookings. I said do you not accept walk ins anymore? No answer. There was only myself and another person waiting. I said to him with all your talking it could have been done by now. Funnily enough he agreed with me then walked off to go back to the person he was testing . Why come out then if he was not prepared to do it??. Another male came out and happily did my test. Gongmin you are a true gentleman. thank you so much. Unfortunately most people come in unwell to some extent, there has to be some sort of give and take, use your better judgement. Poor form mate. I was sitting down and had my test at 4.46pm. I minute past close. I never have issues here with the other staff, maybe he was having a bad day.

Im a huuuuge needlephobe, have to lie down, prone to fainting etc. Walked in and there were quite a few people waiting but got seen to very quickly. Angie was an absolute star. She made me feel comfortable and did a brilliant job with my tricky veins (less than 30 seconds!). Thank you so so much, this is the only place Ill go!

I booked an appointment for Friday and everything went smoothly - however I was later notified by call that they couldn't actually do the blood testing on Fridays and so I am having to go back for a recollection meaning I have to skip work. Very unprofessional.

Staff are always friendly, today I was greeted in Korean by a wonderfully cheerful and helpful phlebotomist. He went above and beyond to ensure my tests were aligned for future reference. Thank you all for your tireless work, much appreciated.
