I'll chalk up my bad experience mainly to the unnecessary communication after my visit. The item I was interested in was a used Kmart desk listed on Facebook Marketplace. The listing had one photo. When I asked for dimensions from seller, none were provided. I arranged a time to come by and look at the desk. (Note: I was 15 minutes late, but did let them know) Upon closer inspection of the desk, I didn't feel it was worth the asking price. I attempted to negotiate 20% off. The seller declined my offer, I thanked them for their time and departed. The reason for my poor rating was the snide follow up communication from the seller. They were upset that I tried to negotiate on the price. Also that they had plenty of others that would've paid asking price and that I wasted their time. There was no language in their ad regarding firm on price nor in our communication prior to my arrival. It's Facebook Marketplace, haggling should be expected. Seller didn't want to, and that's fine. The fact that the seller felt the need to chide me afterwards for the sale not going through was unnecessary and childish.
