Bellbird Bakery Riverside Market

Words cannot describe the joy and anticipation I feel walking to Riverside Market to get a sandwich of the century from this delightful bakery. As a vegetarian I have oftentimes found the selections elsewhere disappointing to say the least. So you can imagine my surprise when I found that every option at at Bellbird Bakery was sublime. Fantastic flavour, truly satisfying and with a nice touch of excellent customer service.

Beautiful croissants and pastries. Fairly flakey and buttery, lived up to expectations. Great for the passing through traveler.

Wow. Such a great flavoured pulled jackfruit sandwich, nice dense ciabatta bread with a great lot of filling (could have a tad more slaw) but was so gorgeous I might go back for another. The lady working was so kind to give advice and preference and was a great friendly face. Also grab the elderflower kombucha as its delish!!!

Superb. Everything we had was delicious: Apple turnover - just right balance, not too sweet, not too buttery and light tartness of apple wonderfully complements pastry; Friand - looks like muffin, but tastes so-o-o good; long fermented sourdough bread is amazing and feels good for sensitive tummies too.

Got the plain croissant and sourdough. This is the way a croissant and breads should be made to look, feel, and taste.
