I use to love the fudge from here. It's been 3 years since I last visited as I don't live local and the fudge isn't the same anymore. I brought the hokey pokey fudge and it didn't have any hokey pokey in it.

Good fudge but not quite as good as it once was. I'm not sure if it's because it's made in larger batches now, different process or changes of the supplier for ingredients but it's just missing that good old home crafted taste.

Walked 7km a few days ago to impulsively pick up their ginger fudge for my sister. Had no prior experience before-hand. Must say, I'm rather glad that I did. The staff were all very lovely and quick with figuring things out. Very patient and polite, even when I was fundamentally brain dead from the abrupt movement and sun exposure, and consequently fumbling over basic speech again. Fudge sure isn't my thing and doesn't suit my palate, but my sister has a plethora of allergies and sensory issues that make her quite a fussy sort of eater. She's now very carefully practicing self restraint and rationing it whilst staring longingly at the packet, under the realization that I won't be doing 14km round-trips multiple times a week because she consumed the entire thing. It's really rather difficult to find food for someone who can't eat wheat, eggs, has issues with gelatin depending on the source, and shouldn't touch caffeine if they don't want to bounce off the walls for 32 hours and risk being mauled by irritated family, and more so to find food that they actually like or find tasting good, but Fudge Cottage did it, and they've done it incredibly well! Got a new bi-weekly / regular customer, it seems - least, 'til I move across the city, and even then, I might just catch the bus in lieu of a car. Hats off to ya, and full respect from my end!
