Road Runner Rentals

Rented an Explorer for our family of 5 12 day holiday around the South Island. While we did have a breakdown the empathy, communication and customer service from Road Runner Rentals was amazing. As a result we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and campervan experience. Thanks team.

Rented the Queenie for 1 month and clocked in over 3500km around the entire South Island without a single issue. A great little van, an absolute trooper! Van was exactly as seen on the website - well equipped and great value for money. Customer service was also excellent and they were super friendly - would definitely recommend!

Review edited. We loved our campervan so much, and were really sad to give her back. A really good way to see the country. We racked up 2917 miles over a month and a half and the van got us round all the interesting/challenging roads, safely. It was also good when it rained as the sound of rain didn't disturb our sleep, and we were able to have meals and basically be sufficient regardless of the weather. Was also pretty good on the fuel. Goodbye beautiful van.

(Translated by Google) We rented the Queenie for three weeks and drove about 2500km from Auckland to Christchurch without any problems. The van was old as we knew beforehand but fully functional. From picking it up to returning it and returning the deposit, everything went smoothly. The only thing that bothered me was that a few items were not fully operational. The ordered/rented child seat was not available or the wrong seat in the van was too large. We should then buy a suitable seat ourselves. We got the money back without hesitation. The camping table was somehow not part of the camping equipment and one of the chairs was patched up with duct tape. Added one or two minor issues which was a bit annoying but didn't really affect our trip. Basically, I can recommend the rental and if we come back, I'll definitely get an offer. (Original) Wir haben den Queenie fr drei Wochen gemietet und sind ca. 2500km von Auckland nach Christchurch vllig problemlos gefahren. Der Van war alt, was wir vorher wussten, aber voll funktionsfhig. Von der Abholung, ber die Rckgabe bis zur Erstattung der Kaution hat alles geklappt. Etwas gestrt hat nur, dass ein paar Gegenstnde nicht voll einsatzbereit waren. Der bestellte/gemietete Kindersitz war nicht vorhanden bzw. war ein falscher zu groer Sitz im Van. Wir sollten dann selber einen geeigneten Sitz kaufen. Das Geld bekamen wir anstandslos zurck. Der Campingtisch gehrte irgendwie nicht mit zur Campingausstattung und einer der Sthle war notdrftig mit Panzertape geflickt. Ein/zwei kleinere Probleme kamen noch dazu, was ein bisschen nervig war, unseren Trip aber nicht weiter beeinflusst hat. Grundstzlich kann ich die Vermietung empfehlen und falls wir wiederkommen, hole ich mir definitiv ein Angebot.

Friendly and helpful team; put 3200km on the campervan I rented with no problems. Good price, good service, good vehicles not all new, but in good shape. Would use them again without hesitation!
