It was a while ago now but this does not change what happened. We purchased a Ford which included a 200 point check. Everything was ticked as being inspected and anything not right either replaced or repaired. The transmission fluid was black! (I'm not sure which is more disturbing....to realise that they either did not check it and ticked it as ok or that they did check it, to then tick it as ok.) There were also a number of screws missing designed to hold the bumper and back hatch in place. They asked me to arrange for this to be fixed, which I did as we do not live in Christchurch. Mark also said the radio would be replaced with one that did everything the origional one did. I confirmed this at the time but it was instead replaced with a simple one. I emailed about this and was told they would not replace it. I'm pretty annoyed about this. I'm still waiting on other promises made, ie, the replacement of a missing head rest. Having rung Mark a couple of times during the warrenty period to try and sort things, I eventually lost confidence in the process and gave up. I appreciate others have had positive experiences with Wheeler Motor Company and that's great, but we will never purchase a vehicle from them again. UPDATE - I was hoping to have heard from Wheeler Motor Company, maybe to discuss the issues raised, but it has been three months since posting this review and I haven't heard from them...

Appear to be no different from any other car dealer we've dealt with. Bought the car through Trade Me. The car was located in the Christchurch premises while we are located in the Waikato area. So when we were putting our trust in there hands and relying on the AA appraisal they were so proudly advertising ( which in the end was not worth the paper it was written on for us). On arrival at the Christchurch branch to pick up the car and drive back to the Waikato. We found the car not to be ready for us and some of the extras we had made on the condition of sale not to be done. Plus when negotiating the sale with the dealer he gloated how there company had no hidden costs and the the price advertised was what we would pay. But here we were after paying just over $1000 for flights, ferry bookings etc been told we had to pay additional fees before they would han the keys over to us and there company always charged these fees. After reluctantly negotiating to pay half of the fees we headed north. Half way up the South Island leg near Kaikoura we noticed the front left wheel guard hanging out and almost coming completely off. It was clear to see it had been damaged from a previous accident from all the broken mounting lugs and some odd marks at the rear on the same side. We limped on to Blenheim where my brother came over from Nelson way to help temporarily repair it. Once home I contacted Wheeler Motors and informed them of our issues including excessive rust under the vehicle and the numerous scratches both inside and out of the car and a handful of broken pieces of plastic brackets in the boot ,loose interior panels and not even sufficient tools to change a flat tire. The salesman said he would look into it and get back to me. He never did. The AA appraisal stated the car was in above average condition and there was nothing mentioned about an accident or any rust. I was even reassured by the dealer that the car was in excellent condition and they wouldn't be selling if it had been in an accident. I say buyers beware !! Nissan juke 11/11/2022 salesman Hadley Weir does that ring any bells for you you's.
