Arthur's Pass Eco Lodge

We really enjoyed our stay at the Eco Lodge. It is a basic and off-the-grid accomodation as other reviews have noted, but it had what we needed to feel comfortable. The host was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The view out the bedroom and main living room windows is spectacular.

This place was one of the highlights of our time in New Zealand! Helen, the host, is one of the warmest and easiest people to connect with. We loved chatting with her and were in awe of the views from the accomodation. The beds were so comfortable and everything was cozy. Helen opens up her home in the most traditional bed and breakfast sense. We had an outstanding breakfast (just what we needed before a big hike) and felt so at home. The accomodation is eco in the sense that it's off the grid and has a compost toilet as well as Helen's clear passion for sustainability which is inspiring and refreshing. We would love to stay again. If you're looking for a cozy accomodation with a hospitable and warm host and the best views this is the place!
