My wife and I had the wonderful opportunity to visit Streamside Organics Farm at Leeston on Sunday 12 March 2023 as part of Open Farms Day. We are glad we went! Everything was perfect, including the weather. We were hosted by Logan and Dominique, and their toddler Ali. There were about 100 visitors, so quite a big crowd. But Logan and Dominique took good care of us. After the Safety briefing, we were taking on a walking tour of the farm. This included: - pick your own strawberries, for free (oh, they were so juicy and delicious!) - visit to the green house which had a huge variety of veggies and micro-greens - demonstration of weeding using tractor and special implements - lots of sharing of experiments done at the farm including success stories The biggest single learning for us city folks was that we may be over-watering the plants in our gardens! The hosts were generous enough to say, pick what you want and take home. We returned with a few natural goodies, and heartfelt satisfaction of having spent a good day out. Thanks and best wishes to Dominique and Logan.

OMG what a gem of a find. These guys offer organic veggies and fruit boxes delivered to your door on a weekly or more often basis. The quality is outstanding and when compared with the quality and price of supermarket produce, the food I got from them lasted longer, tasted incredible, didn't have me driving my car and making a trip out AND was cheaper! Get that for produce that is locally grown and organic AND supporting a small business doing something wonderful when the cost of li ing is so high. I love this and will most certainly be using them again really soon if not always. Give it a try if you're lucky enough to be in the catchment area as I'm sure you won't be disappointed. I've also signed up to their digital comms and really enjoy reading thise as they come in. A bit different from the everyday mail box burdens and some great information about the staff and how the food is harvested, grown etc. It's also nice to understand more Bout just how much man power it takes to get that box to my door. Thank you guys - you are truly a Canterbury Jewel, and I do hope you expand so more people can access you.
