Very nice units, warm, and rather modern feeling. The water pressure is a little low for showers, and the WiFi could be a little better as it dropped out often, but overall, I would go back again if I needed to stop over Walkability: Close to town

The place is fine, amenities were sufficient for a three-night stay and the room is good value for the money but the owner/operator is cheap and rude. Asked for a bit more milk (instead of buying some and throwing out unused portion) and some coffee and she refused in a condescending manner (we only provide coffee and milk for the first night of your stay what?!). Treated other guests the same way too. Never saw anyone at the reception, with guests running around looking for help. The owners should learn the meaning of hospitality. Nearby activities: Half an hour to Lake Tekapo, which really isnt that great, and 1.5 hours to Mount Cook, which as amazing. Fairlie is a tiny rural town with no decent bars or restaurants and a mediocre supermarket. Better off staying elsewhere.
