I was a regular dinning in at least 3 times a week-tried most of noodle soup on the menu. 2 years ago before moved to another city, it was the lady Cambodian manager with tan skin, pan Chinese looking. She was very kind, friendly, customer orientated.Khmer Satay Noodle House is more of a sentimental place for me, once I worked at Friendly Satay Noodle house in Dunedin as my student job. The original founder Seline was very strict to the staffs and kind and professional to the customers. I was absoutely shocked receiving a rather upsetting experience -told off by a male staff with transparent glasses wearing mask that I should have stayed at home if I am sick. He asked me when I tried to grab a bottle of coke. He didnt' even care to greet, looking to me as I were the enemy. Giving me the jugemental look. I asked this self entitled "chef "boy who gave the worst ever customer service maybe just because he was the brother of the current owner or what... I asked this staff , how do you know I am sick, he said cos my eyes are watery. I was annoyed and as a health care professional. a trained and qualified one in N.Z.(do not wish to disclose more details). I said to him I had lot of chilli powder in my noodle soup...... I told him it is quite rude to tell someone saying "you should stay at home". first, I do not wish to be critisied in the accusive tone after not clarifying if I were truly sick or not. Secondly, wish you were trying to be more respecfully trying to find out in a smarter way if I were sick then I would be more than happy to tell you I had million of chilli powder hence you saw me sweating and a lot of watery in my eyes and nose. I dined in at another Satay Noodle House on the other side of the street-the owner was taught by one of the founder of Khmer Satay Noodle House. The staff was way better in providing good hospitality, I was trested with respect, no one was loudly talking in a language as if I were not able to understand them. NEVER again I will go to Khmer Satay Noodle House. Will switch to the one who looked after me. A honest and fair feedbacks from a Khmer style noodle soup diner.
