5/5, not because it's a tournament level course but because of the experience. Tricky layout and good greens. The rest is up to you. See the views on an early winters day. (Oh, and my second ball on the 3rd did carry the water) The tee boxes could do with some love.

Good times! It's a very casual golf course. Friendly people and players. Not very well marked but still very playable. The winds were strong when we played. For visiting players, you will need to go to here first: 48 D Archiac Drive, Lake Tekapo 7999, New Zealand This is where you book in and get your golf buggies. You will then drive to the golf course itself. The course is a WALKING course. There are golf carts too so if you need, there will be some. The start and check in location also has some clubs for rent but in not-so-good condition. You potentially do not need these but just pay for green fees if you have your own equipment. They do provide golf balls for free however! This is likely due to the course being quite difficult when it comes to ball landing on fringe - tall grass abound The view here is just... SUPERB. I have played at Bali courses near beaches and in it's hill course but the view here is one up. Overlooking Lake Tekapo and also some snow capped mountains, don't be surprised if your game may take longer due to constantly being mesmerized by the view. Do note that there is one pot-a-loo in the middle of the course and that will be your only reprieve whilst playing here. Overall a fun and casual course where they don't charge for tag alongs.
