Oh well, this place looks good but the experience is just not worth it. With AUD 120 per head, we had to sit inside and watch a video in VR HEADSET (explaining constellations and their background why and how), felt like I was back in physics class. After that, we were told to change to hot water springs where we should be able to see the galaxy/stars. Well, nothing was visible coz it was cloudy. --- I mean first if it is rainy/cloudy -> they should cancel the experience -- feel it's better to go to Johns Peak for a free view of the same stars. -- For a hot pool book one in Queenstown (worth it) Just wasn't worth it!

As the weather was bad, we could only enjoy a virtual reality tour of Tekapos night skies. Horrible cold and cloudy day but the hot pool warmed us up. Our young and friendly guide, Peter was incredibly knowledgeable, humble and a great storyteller. He answered any questions thrown at him, you can tell he really loves astronomy. Overall great experience and highly recommended!

Even though the sky refused to cooperate and show us stars, Peter was a great host nonetheless. Highly recommend everyone to go on a non-cloudy day

An amazing experience to look at the stars! We we're lucky to have the clouds hold off until we were leaving and got to see some awesome stars in the sky and hear stories about them. I hope to be able to come back someday when a planet is visible! We had a full moon so also seeing the sky without moonlight would be amazing. Laying in the hot pool and staring into the sky made for a great end to a magical day in Tekapo! :)
