Ashburton is a well equipped rowing club with a great boat shed, up to date skiffs and a viewing lounge. Situated at Lake Hood, which is a purpose built rowing venue that has starting trolleys and is set up with bouyed lanes at regattas. There is a very strong Ashburton College school programme with a proud racing record and great coaching. Subs are very reasonable, with regatta transport, food and accommodation extra.
