        The SW approach hike to the summit of Mt Isobel is well worth it. The wet springs on the bottom third and the scree above the tree line are easier to traverse with hiking poles. I left the car park at 8:30am and reached the summit at 11am. The weather was perfect. I got to meet hikers from England, Switzerland, Italy and America. My advice to pet owners mirrors DOC: leave them at home.
