First this was for my partners birthday so a importantday to us both. Only on arrival did we get told the spa outdoors in the SPA suite was unavailable. No information before we arrived via email nor nothing only once came hours to the place. I rang days before we arrived making sure dinner was available on the Monday 10 April night and advised it was and only shut on the night 11th April the next day we were leaving. So we had go into Hanmer to eat very late.. dissatisfied again.. the indoor bath/spa was dirty with hairs and grime. Finally breakfast was only buffet and food was Luke warm one of the worst ones iv eaten at and no continental breakfast available. Another thing we were uninformed. No apologies for nothing from the rude lady at reception...Never answer the phones either like never anyone there.

Beautiful property but the management were (and continue to be) absent. We stayed back in November 2022 and were advised that there would be no staff on reception as they had very few staff. We were also advised that the restaurant and bar would be closed on certain days BUT not the night that we were staying. We checked ourselves in, as per instructions & found our room then went looking to make a dinner booking but the bar/restaurant areas were all locked up and no staff onsite at all. Kept checking, even phoned the after hours number to ask and still have not had a response. We sent an email to the property (through the supplier) and still have not had a response from them. We paid FULL price butt received less than FULL service or even the common decency of a response. Will not stay here again or recommend it to others. Management 101, respect your guests and respond to their issues promptly !
