        Bit of a hairy turn off the state highway, no real room to pull left before turning right into Boyle Settlement if heading towards Lewis Pass from Hanmer. Lovely carpark, more reassuring than most DOC carparks as has camera watching the area. The emergency phone and AED is excellent and logical-whom ever sorted that situation needs a pat on the back. Some amount of cellular signal (Spark Network, unsure of others, was able to get basic data also in the carpark). Non potable water present and long drop- clean enough, large norski style. Access road normal, have used Boyle Lodge to securely park for longer trips and the shuttle service. Road that parallels st james track has locked gate just past the Boyle Settlement. Havent used the campground adjunct to the carpark.
