Ace Rental Cars Christchurch Airport

We booked a Kia Carnival from Christchurch returning in Queenstown. The car was only about 3 months old / 12k and a great drive...clean. The staff at Christchurch (Maninder) was quite friendly. Only issue was with returning the car at Queenstown airport - the return instructions were to their depot which was about 10 mins drive from the airport which had actually closed. I dropped the keys to the drop-box and then called them, only to be told that the return was changed to Hertz at the airport! Waited 15 mins for a lift back to the airport that they assured was on the way, but then booked an uber $20 ride back to the airport given I was running out of time for the return flight back home. I would suggest the mgt to update their return instructions.

The car we got has an issue with steering wheel. It is not in the right middle. After driving for a while in the highway, we feel it is a potential safety issue, so we drive back and ask for another car. We've been told there is no more car left, the staff is helpful about organising another car, but we did wait about 2 hour for the replacement. 2nd car with ace in this trip, always having some issue with the car which is very annoying for the trip. Would rather choose an more expensive company with better vehicle quality next time.

ACE double faults! I would give it a zero but thats not an option. Two key issues 1/ telephone no give to arrange airport collection was not working, airport info gave us another that did work. Advised office who were not concerned. 2/ Returned car at 900am and office shut! No one answered phone. Fortunately another company gave us a lift.
