Lot 36 Silverstone Rolleston - the section I paid a secure/reservation deposit for back in December 2020. I dealt with this company from that time until August 2021 when they decided to cancel the contract just because the solicitor/law firm (Davidson Legal) they RECOMMENDED to me did not send my confirmation via email before or on deadline. With the current housing market, this company knew they could sell the house and land package for a higher price. Land area was 577sqm, the proposed house size was 165sqm. I got it for $566k with upgrades. I felt like I was blamed by this company for not confirming on time (but I actually did confirm before due time) thats why they were so quick in cancelling the contract. Was it my fault? They believed it was mine. To think I have been with them for that long, I felt deceived and betrayed. They were charging me $1000 for a sliding door for the walk-in pantry. They were charging me $4000 for an electric fire (the cost of same when you buy it yourself is only $2800). They were charging me approximately $10,000 for the whole fireplace (wall, TV recess and installation of the electric fire). When I phoned their sales representative why it will cost me 10k for the whole thing, he said its because it will be their first time to install one! Wow! To those who are thinking of building a new home, avoid this company at all cost. But if you do decide to go with them, get your own solicitor. But I am NOT recommending this building company at all! If there was an option of 1/2 star to rate them, I would choose it.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS ESPECIALLY IF IT IS A HOUSE AND LAND PACKAGE. I signed up for a house and land package where the sales person promised a price guarentee and then created a sense of urgency and took from me a non refundable deposit. After paying them the deposit, they sent through the contract where there were unrealistic clauses in there where they can walk away from the contract. When asked to change, they said they would change if they introduced a clause to increase the price. Don't trust anything the sales team tells you, they will push you to hand them a deposit of $1000 before sending any documents. Only hand them your money once you have all the relavent documents related to the project with you. Services: Design, Project management

Fantastic company to deal with. Staff were brilliant at finding solutions to problems brought on by COVID lockdowns and supply issues. They were able to deliver a quality house on time and on budget. Highly recommend Signature Homes Christchurch South if you are considering building or after a house and land package.
