Recently we photographed a residential property for Chaplin Crooks Architects. Greg was great to work with and gave us a clear brief. This contemporary home photographed well. A wow factor was added with their smart design and use of natural light with the contrasting black-stained cedar wall. We also got to see first hand how much the homeowners enjoyed their new modern space. Great work!

The team at Chaplin Crooks were absolutely brilliant from start to finish in the design and management of our building project. Greg in particular had unfaltering attention to detail, a hard work ethic and an exceptional manner with all members of the rebuild team. He was extremely attentive to the individual needs and aims of the project and was also able to work with the builders to curtail spending where possible whilst ensuring high standards were met. 100% recommend. We were very fortunate to have Greg assigned to design and project manage the build of our new home on Huntsbury Hill. He showed amazing patience, talent and perseverance despite the odd challenge or change that cropped up. Greg was a stickler for using quality products and the result is a home we are so very proud of.

Chaplin Crooks came to our attention firstly through their previous involvement with projects in the Port Hills and secondly after looking through their portfolio and discovering their ability to find synergies between a project and the surrounding environment. Harmony with the landforms is important for our location and Chaplin Crooks brought a lot of creativity to the positioning of the house to retain functionality while ensuring best opportunities were made of the views. We particularly valued their ability translate our requirements into a functional yet strikingly attractive building, designed for a hill location to fit in with the tussock flora and volcanic landforms. Chaplin Crooks listened to our priorities and worked to achieve these with a practical and attractively styled building. Through this process Chaplin Crooks have introduced the various specialists needed for the project and right through to the build stage we have found a high degree of professionalism in our workings with these businesses, which in turn reflects very highly on Chaplin Crooks and their own work ethic and professional standards.
