I accompanied my 4yr old granddaughter to a dental check recently and noticed sloppy unhygienic service.Firstly she was asked to sit up on the chair which had just been wiped down and was still visibly sticky and wet. I commented on this but was told "its covid"..? There didnt appear to be a towel or anything to dry it down and if there was, the nurse made no effort to find it.My granddaughter was not given a bib and during the check and I saw the nurse wipe what ever she was using to inspect my grandaughters teeth on the shoulder of her dress.I couldnt quite believe what Id seen so bit my tongue but two days later Im still appalled. The nurses behaviour was generally shoddy, barely looking at cleo who was obviously daunted by the size and state of the chair. My grandaughter has great teeth with no decay but the nurse kept prattling on as if she lived on a diet of soft drinks and sweets.Its obvious this clinic is underfunded and skimping on supplies- like bibs. This is unhygienic and unacceptable. You may be offering a free service but children deserve more respect than this and should be given the same consideration and care as any adult.
